News from the Primary Coordinator

We have finally made it and are now half way to the end of the year!

Next term we are looking forward to a term jam packed with lots of science, camp for the years 5 and 6 students and our end of year concert which we are already looking forward to.

Please make sure that you have a look at what some of the classes have been involved with, including our Year 4’s first ever Maths Olympiad this year. Our students came 2nd place and did great job. We were very proud of them.

Also, we are very proud of Mahdi Mohammad in Year 6A who competed in the Cross Country this term and has gone through to the States to compete. We wish him all the very best!

A few reminders to parents:

• Please make sure that your child is wearing the correct school uniform to school. It has come to my attention that there are quite a few students who are consistently out of school uniform. A note is to be provided for the classroom teacher when your child is out of uniform.
• The weather is getting cooler and all students should be wearing their bomber jackets to schools. Students are also allowed to wear school scarves, beanies and gloves (school coloured) to stay warm. Even during the cold, we still encourage students to play outside to stay active and get some fresh air throughout the day.
• ICAS for Year 3-6 dates are as follows:
  English: Tuesday the 1st of August
  Maths: Tuesday the 15th of August
  Science: COMPLETE
• First day back at school: Monday the 17th of July
